Fit for Life > Gardeners
Gardeners
Do you enjoy working outside and making the world a greener place?
Gardening can bring us food and exercise, and keep our minds sharp as we age. The leisure pastime also provides stimulation, accomplishment and a host of other benefits that are healthy for the mind and body.
As a volunteer gardener you'll help to maintain our communal green spaces, support garden projects and create accessible surroundings for our customers to appreciate. We love to see our gardens bloom with flowers, fresh vegetables, fruits, and herbs - and it certainly serves as a motivation for us to eat our five a day!
How does it work?
We're looking for volunteers who want to help take our gardens to the next level.
Our grounds maintenance team work hard to keep our gardens maintained to high standard. With the help of our Later Living customers, you'll be working to create an environment everyone will want to spend time in.
We've got so many ideas for garden projects to add fun and fashionable accents to our outdoor spaces. The possibilities are endless for a DIY garden project, so we'd love to hear your ideas too.
Working in the garden has numerous benefits for our state of mind and health, plus you’ll help our residents reap a harvest. From building a greenhouse to potting plants, we need you to help us create even GREAT-er outdoor spaces.
This is a fun and rewarding role which will enable you to connect with our customers and make a real, lasting difference to their lives.
