The Garrick is an intergenerational site and will be complemented by other homes and community services.

We believe it will become a transformational space for Stranraer and Wigtownshire.

Alongside the accommodation and employment hub for young people, there will also be 12 dementia-friendly designed flats, six adapted bungalows, a new access road, 37 parking spaces and attractive landscaping to maximise biodiversity.

By providing quality homes, promoting social cohesion and self-dependence, we believe that The Garrick can make a real difference to the lives of our customers and those in the wider community.

The Garrick will also provide a community café space for local people and will operate as a Hub for Loreburn’s broader business activities.  Public areas within the employment hub will be available for the whole community to use, whether that be for community groups or workplace workshops. Meeting rooms and desks will also be available for rent.

The building space is entirely flexible - if the needs of the community change, the site can be adapted accordingly.

The Garrick is an innovative and bold development. Through our shared passion and vision with our project partners, we’ll have a hand in transforming the lives of young people in the West of the Dumfries & Galloway region.

To ensure that the project meets both customer and community needs, the development of The Garrick has been supported by The Hollywood Trust, The Clothworkers’ Foundation, Kilgallioch Community Fund and Dumfries and Galloway Council.
