Loreburn donate £250 to Together for Short Lives

Have you seen the new community room in Morrisons, Dumfries, yet?

Myra Tamara Min

Created to help local groups deal with the increasing cost of booking venues, the hub is a free-to-use private room for good causes and non-profit organisations in need of meeting spaces.

Since the room officially opened in December last year, it's been a hit with both staff and tenants. Being in such a central and accessible location, it's the perfect space to host small-scale events for developments - absolutely perfect for our popular ‘Coffee and Catch up’ sessions, bingo afternoons or one-on-one meetings.

To say thank you, last week we presented staff at Morrisons with a £250 donation to their partner charity, Together for Short Lives.

The partnership, which lasts until October 2024, is raising vital funds for children’s hospices across the UK, as well as helping families make precious memories. We were delighted to find out that our donation was greatly received at Robin House Children's Hospice in Balloch.

We're looking forward to working with Morrisons throughout the year, and to hosting many more GREAT events.

Community champion Myra has invited anyone interested in booking the space to email champion.dumfries@morrisonsplc.co.uk
