Colleagues from across Loreburn attended the recent BANG GOES DG! event at Easterbrook Hall in Dumfries, and it's safe to say that it was nothing short of a major success!
Hosted by DYW Dumfries & Galloway, approximately 900 S1 – S3 pupils attended, with over 40 companies being represented.
There were more than 150 entries to our Asset and Finance quizzes, and a huge 208 entries to our magnetic house building competition, which meant we certainly had our work cut out for us when choosing our overall winners…
We'd like to say a GREAT big congratulations to Lottie Spyergrubb and Ava Rice, both in S1 at Kirkcudbright Academy, who came top of the class in our fiercely-contested competitions.
Ava won a £50 Amazon voucher after correctly answering all our quiz questions, which related to income management and property development, and Lottie was presented with an Amazon Kindle after building the most stable and creative house structure well within the 90 second time limit.
We all had a great time and are hoping for an even better turnout next year on 29 May 2024 - save the date!
