Station Road, Dalbeattie

Things are progressing well in Dalbeattie!

Construction is well under way on the 16 brand new two- and three-bedroom homes at our Station Road development.

Eight of the homes will be Passivhaus certified with the Passivhaus Institute, and the remaining eight will be built to the same Passivhaus standards.

This means that each home will have an air source heat pump, instead of a gas boiler, as well as solar panels and electric vehicle charging points - all of which will be helping us along on our journey towards achieving net zero.

It's shaping up to be a fabulous development (if we do say so ourselves!).

One of the main challenges so far has been the solid Dalbeattie rock, which needed to be removed from the site before construction could begin. Due to the historic use of the area – a railway route and a builders merchant – some remediation works were also required.

Loreburn staff will be visiting Station Road over the next few months, and the homes should be ready for rent in Summer 2023.
