Let's talk about menopause

October 18 marks World Menopause Day, an important opportunity to raise awareness about menopause and support those experiencing it.

Understanding menopause

Menopause is a natural biological process that affects approximately 1 in 8 of the global population at any given time. It typically occurs between the ages of 45 and 55, but can happen earlier or later. Common symptoms include:

  • Hot flashes and night sweats

  • Mood changes

  • Sleep disturbances

  • Changes in libido

  • Cognitive changes ("brain fog")

  • Joint pain

These symptoms can significantly impact daily life, including work performance and overall well-being.

Our commitment

We recognise the importance of supporting our colleagues through this life transition. We have:

  1. Signed the Menopause Workplace Pledge

  2. Implemented a comprehensive Menopause Policy

  3. Introduced support measures including:

    • Menopause Support Group

    • Flexible Working options

    • Training for managers on menopause awareness

Our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable discussing menopause and seeking the support they need.
