Head of Housing

Location:

Dumfries & Galloway (regular travel required)


Salary range:

£50,798 - £62,049 + competitive benefits package + on call rota payments


Hours:

35 hours each week, with general working pattern of Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.


About the role:

Working alongside a welcoming and supportive management team, you’ll lead our mission to create and sustain GREAT places to live across southwest Scotland.  As Head of Housing you will be responsible for delivering high quality, tenant focussed housing services.  You will shape strategy, ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement and service improvement across tenancy and neighbourhood management, community development and tenant engagement.  As a visible and collaborative leader, you will embody our GREAT values and inspire a culture of integrity, accountability and performance.  You will build partnerships to enhance community impact while ensuring that your teams deliver services that truly place tenants first.

Later Living Development Manager

Bank Cover at our Millburn Court Development and other LLDM developments

Location: Millburn Court, Stranraer, Dumfries & Galloway working mainly in Stranraer but able to travel across region to cover other sites.

Salary range: Bank Cover - £16.11 - £20.40 per hour

Hours: Bank Cover will provide ad hoc cover for holidays and absence during normal working hours Monday to Friday (09.00-17.00).

 

About the role 

We are looking for a compassionate person to join our Later Living team to provide bank cover for holidays and absence. There is the potential for fixed term opportunities in the future. You will need to deliver an exceptional customer experience, ensuring enquiries are resolved at first point of contact and that our tenants experience an excellent service that meets their needs and delivers Great Results.

Housing Officer (East)

Part Time (14 hours per week)


Location:

Dumfries & Galloway (regular travel within the region required)


Salary range:

£32,372 - £40,347 FTE (£12,948 - £16,138 pro-rata) + competitive benefits package + on call rota payments


Hours:

14 hours each week (0.4 FTE) worked Thursday and Friday


About the role:

Housing Officers are at the heart of our communities, delivering high quality housing management services within a defined ‘patch’ area within the East of the regionThis is a generic role, covering tenancy and estate management, voids and lettings, income collection, tenancy enforcement and tenant and community engagement.   

Housing Officers maintain a visible and responsive presence in our communities, building strong relationships with tenants and addressing a range of housing matters. The role involves regular home visits and requires resilience, empathy and professionalism when working with tenants who may be experiencing a range of complex circumstances.    

Our Housing Officers embody our ‘tenant first’ ethos - listening to tenants, responding with empathy and professionalism and working in partnership to deliver services that make a lasting, positive impact.  

While this role is home based there is a requirement to regularly attend patches, in person meetings and training events at locations across the region we therefore have a business need for the post holder to be within close proximity of the patch which is within the East of the region which will cover Dumfries and surrounding area.

Volunteer Community Agent

Location: We are currently looking for volunteers in the following areas to support our tenants and communities:

  • Lockerbie
  • Langholm
  • Gretna/Eastriggs
  • Sanquhar
  • Thornhill/Penpont
  • Moniaive
  • Castle Douglas/Kirkcudbright
  • Newton Stewart
  • Whithorn
  • Portpatrick

Hours: 1-2 hours per week

About the role:

This role will provide a confidential point of contact within their local community for tenants who require some support and assistance. This a rewarding role, suited to those who like to give back to their communities, providing a safe space for tenants to chat and receive information on appropriate agencies for further help and support.   

What's really important is that you have a strong commitment to help your local community and the ability to maintain confidentiality.  This role would be suited to anyone looking to give back to their community and equally, someone who may be looking to gain skills and experience within the housing or third sector and charitable sector.

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a good listener
  • Be comfortable signposting to appropriate agencies
  • Liaise with Loreburn’s Sustaining Communities and Neighbourhood Officers.
  • Be able to provide up to 2 hours per week of their time
