Apprentice Joiner

Location:

Dumfries & Galloway (Dumfries area covering postcodes DG1 to DG16)

Salary range:

Real Living Wage £13.45 per hour (FTE £23,799.60) + competitive benefits package

Hours:

34 hours each week (1.0 FTE) worked over 4 days on a rota basis between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday, long weekend every 5 weeks.

The Role

The role of an apprentice will be to assist our trade operatives in delivering a high-quality repairs service to our tenants, gaining the required skills and knowledge of the trade whilst also gaining the relevant vocational qualification. As part of the training, you will also work alongside the wider team to develop your skills, knowledge and experience across other trades.

Housing Officer (East) Maternity Cover

Location:

Dumfries & Galloway – Home based, with regular travel across the region. This role will primarily cover the East of the region, specifically postcode areas DG1, DG2, DG3 & DG4 (Dumfries, Mid and Upper Nithsdale). Access to hot desking in Dumfries.

Salary range:

£33,343 for candidates who can demonstrate the core skills and potential to succeed in the role, even if new to housing. £38,500 - £42,630 for candidates who hold a relevant CIH or other qualification and/or can demonstrate housing management experience. + competitive benefits package which includes 40 days annual leave including public holidays, plus additional wellbeing days, 8% employer contribution pension scheme and salary sacrifice options, and more.

Hours:

35 hours each week, worked Monday to Friday. Fixed term contract up to 12 months (maternity cover).

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing a patch of homes and providing a generic housing management service, covering tenancy and estate management, empty homes and lettings, rent accounts, tenant and community engagement, and tenancy enforcement. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a career in housing, and we actively encourage applications from those who may not have worked in the sector before but have the right values, transferable skills, enthusiasm and commitment to be successful in a tenant centred housing management role.
