As well as maintaining your home to the Scottish Housing Quality Standards we are also required to meet the Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing by 2020. Over the next 5 years we are going to be carrying out various energy efficiency improvement works as part of our Planned Maintenance programme. These works will include replacing inefficient electric heating systems with modern high heat retention storage heaters, high efficiency gas combi-boiler replacements, insulation upgrades (internal and external) and considering additional renewable technologies such as air source heat pumps.
In order to assess the energy efficiency of your home we carry out Energy Performance surveys to produce an Energy Performance Certificate (you may have one of these displayed in your home).
If you are contacted to provide access for a survey, please allow access where possible as this will allow us to programme any works required at your home.
In 2016 we carried out a consultation on our draft 4 Year Programme which was published in our Spring 2016 Newsletter. We received feedback from 491 tenants which is being used along with survey information to revise our Programme.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the survey, your input is invaluable in allowing us to plan future works effectively.
