I’m due to move into a Loreburn home soon. Will it still go ahead?

At this time, we are still proceeding with allocations where offers have been made.We appreciate that during this ‘lockdown’ it will be difficult for customers to move. Your Housing Officer will contact you as soon as possible to discuss how we can safely allow you to view and sign for your new home.

Can I still view a property I’ve successfully bid on?

We appreciate that during this ‘lockdown’ it will be difficult for customers to view properties where offers have been made.   Your Housing Officer will contact you as soon as possible to discuss how we can safely allow you to view your new home.

Can I still terminate my tenancy?

We are sad to hear you are thinking of leaving your Loreburn home, if you are feeling overwhelmed by the recent Covid-19 outbreak and are considering ending you tenancy as a result of struggling to pay your rent please get in touch with your Income Officer for support and advice on how we can help you stay in your home.
If you still wish terminate your tenancy you are required to provide 28 day notice in writing. There are a number of ways to notify us of your intention to leave the phone.  

1. You can send a signed letter to our main office:

Please detail your reason for terminating, an ongoing contact telephone number and your forwarding address.  Tenancy end dates are calculated from the date of receipt, not the date they are sent.

2. Complete our online termination of tenancy form here  

We will accept the date of your submission as the first day of your notice period.

3. Send an email, please send your intention to terminate to Customerservice@loreburn.org.uk.  We will confirm your intention over the phone.  We will accept the date of the email as the first day of your notice period.
