Technical Officer – Stock Investment

Salary Range F

Pro-rata salary of £28,935.00 with potential to earn up to £36,169.00.

A performance Pay system is in operation, where individuals progress towards 100% of the pay range subject to them achieving all set targets, competence standards and being fully developed in the role.

35hpw, 5 Days per Week, Permanent

About The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ad-hoc stock investment works, including planned maintenance contracts, heating upgrades and bathroom and kitchen replacements.

General:

  • Procurement of services within Procurement guidelines
  • Ensuring Value for Money when procuring and Tender services
  • Contractor and Performance Management (Planned and Cyclical Works)
  • Project Management (Planned Maintenance Projects)
  • An understanding of Health & Safety
  • Budget Control
  • Cary out Site Inspections and Post Inspections

The above list of responsibilities will change depending on the organisation’s requirements.

We are looking for an individual who: -

  • Experience of working in a customer-focussed service.
  • Experience of delivering services within the social housing sector.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver outputs in line with Association targets and deadlines.
  • Working within a housing maintenance environment, particularly in regard to Stock Investments & Compliance.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • A service approach to maintenance
  • Ability to undertake heavy workloads, at times and keep to required performance standards.
  • Demonstrates LHA’s GREAT Values
  • Ability to work effectively alongside external contractors.
  • An understanding of contractor performance and accountability
