About the role

As Assistant Asset Manager you will be the performance leader responsible for a team of 4 cyclical compliance colleagues.  Your key day to day responsibility will be championing the successful delivery of an excellent Cyclical Compliance service to Loreburn`s customers, keeping our customers safe, whilst ensuring compliance with the statutory obligations. You will do this by providing focus, support and encouragement to nurture talent and excellence and together you and your team will deliver an excellent end-to-end customer experience.

We are looking for an individual who:-

  • Can demonstrate at least 3+ years recent experience of Asset Management, preferably in social housing or the private sector
  • Can provide inspirational leadership to the Cyclical Team
  • Has up to date working knowledge of cyclical compliance obligations in a Housing Association context
  • Can work with communities to driving Loreburn’s corporate vision
  • Has a proven track record of delivering effective professional, customer-focussed services
  • Ability to motivate the team, work on own initiative, work under pressure and to achieve deadlines
  • Is a Team playe

About the role

Care and Repair offers a fantastic service to some of the most vulnerable local customers and helps keep them safe and content in their own homes.  As a Graduate you will receive full on the job training as well as assisting the team in delivering the service and providing the team leader with admin support.  You will be required to visit client in their homes to discuss the works requested, complete the necessary paperwork, obtain quotes, prepare paperwork for grant authorisation and remain the key contact for clients throughout the process.

We are looking for an individual who:-

  • Has recently obtained a degree, preferably in a related subject, attained in the last 18 months
  • Is confident dealing with people face to face and over the phone
  • Shows initiative and integrity
  • Has a passion for helping people and / or would be interested in a career in this area
  • Is a team player

About the role

Following the current post holder’s secondment to the Director of Finance role, we are looking for an experienced Head of Finance and Procurement to lead our team in Dumfries. The role will be a fixed term role until the 30 April 2020.

The role will see you working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment. You will be responsible for leading a high performing Finance team in delivering monthly budget and quarterly management reporting for a £13m turnover business. You will also act as a Business Partner to support other areas of the business building up an extensive understanding of how the business operates.

With a major stock development and reinvestment plan over the life of the new corporate plan, you will also be responsible for managing cash flows, appraising potential new build projects along with current stock, and managing the business plan to ensure the key strategic objectives of the plan are achieved.

Your role will also see you mixing finance with procurement and leading on ensuring the organisations achieves the most economic advantageous tender for its goods, services and works that it procures.

We are looking for an individual who:-

  • Has strong financial and technical accounting skills, is a sound decision maker and can be open minded, innovative and creative.
  • Enjoys working in a fast pace environment where no two days are the same.
  • Can analyse large data sets and interpret this in a meaningful way for non-financial minded users.
  • Continually seeks new ways of working and can implement new procedures when required.
  • Can see the bigger picture and how Finance and Procurement fits in to support other departments within the organisation.
  • Likes a challenge and can explore and learn new things.
  • Has a positive can-do attitude, that rubs off on others and will inspire those around them to achieve more.
  • Is self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail.
