Location: Dumfries is the location of our head office which is the usual base however Loreburn adopt an agile working strategy and the post does not have to be located at Head Office on a permanent basis.

About The Role

Following the previous post holder’s promotion to the Director of Finance role, we are looking for an experienced Head of Finance and Procurement to lead our team in Dumfries.

The role will see you working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment. You will be responsible for leading a high performing Finance team in delivering monthly budget and quarterly management reporting for a £13m turnover business. You will also act as a Business Partner to support other areas of the business building up an extensive understanding of how the business operates.

With a major stock development and reinvestment plan over the life of the new corporate plan, you will also be responsible for managing cash flows, appraising potential new build projects along with current stock, and managing the business plan to ensure the key strategic objectives of the plan are achieved.

Your role will also see you mixing finance with procurement and securing the most economically advantageous tender for the goods, services and works that are procured on behalf of our customers.

Although this role is a full time post we are also interested in applicants that can work part time in the role as job sharing would be considered.

Gas Engineer

Location: Agile working throughout Dumfries & Galloway

 

About The Role

The successful candidate will carry out gas and plumbing repairs, maintenance, installations and checks across the Loreburn and Dumfries and Galloway Homes portfolio with the minimum of supervision. The successful candidate should understand and comply with all relevant legal and company standards and policies for Health & Safety and work to the requirement of the current Gas Safe regulations.

The successful candidate should be Gas Safe certified and committed to ongoing personal development.

This post will require the successful candidate to participate in an emergency ‘out of hours’ service as required, including carrying out other multi-skilled trade work where necessary.

 

We are looking for an individual who:-

  • Experience of working in a customer-focussed service
  • Have the relevant qualification to the post
  • Experience of delivering services within the social housing sector
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver outputs in line with Association targets and deadlines
  • Experience of working within a housing maintenance environment
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to undertake heavy workloads, at times and keep to required performance standards

Electrician

Location: Agile working throughout Dumfries & Galloway

 

About The Role

The successful candidate will undertake duties within the electrical trade with the minimum of supervision, understand and comply with all relevant legal and company standards and policies for Health & Safety and work to the requirement of the current IEE 18th Edition regulations.

The successful candidate will understand and competently work on a wide range of electrical systems including fault finding, testing, alteration, maintenance and repair as well as safely inspect, identify and determine the extent of all allocated works.

This post will require the successful candidate to participate in an emergency ‘out of hours’ service as required, including carrying out other multi-skilled trade work where necessary.

We are looking for an individual who:-

  • Is a time served electrician, qualified to IEE 18th Edition certification, plus 5 years post qualifying experience, preferably in the social housing sector.
  • Has a proven track record of delivering effective professional, customer-focused service.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, with attention to detail and accuracy, whilst working under pressure and to deadlines
  • Is a team player
