Employability Key Worker
Loreburn Housing are pleased to introduce a GREAT new service through the provision of an Employability Key Worker to help tackle youth unemployment levels and support 16-24 year olds to gain and maintain employment.
Based in the Garrick Employment Hub in Stranraer, the role will cover the West of the region (DG9 and DG8), working to engage, inspire and progress young people aged 16-24 towards employment in line with the Scottish Government’s No One Left Behind strategy.
This service will be tailored to each individual and aim to help develop their skills and qualifications, following the 5 Stage Employability Pipeline, in order for them to pursue their career aspirations.
Oue Employability Key Worker will work with each young person to overcome any barriers to employment they may face, offering guidance and structured support for them to access opportunities for learning, training, and volunteering.
Loreburn will be working in partnership with a number of local agencies who can offer specialist support to further develop each individual’s skills as they progress toward employment.
In addition to coordinating these resources and signposting to appropriate agencies, establishing good working relationships with local employers will allow for the creation of tailored workplace opportunities.
If you would like to make use of this service or would like further information, please contact our Employability Key Worker David Ewing on 01776233101, 07593530315 or DavidE@loreburn.org.uk
