Supported Housing - Young Peoples Service

Hope Place - Garden POur Suppported Developments for young people provide accommodation for people aged between 16 and 25 who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. Offering a safe and secure environment with qualified support on hand, Hope Place, Dumfries and Reston, Stranraer aim to enable young people to improve the quality of their lives and open door to new opportunities.

Benefits of Young Peoples Service

Dedicated Supported Housing Advisors are on hand to offer support and guidance, aiming to help build confidence, establish positive routines and develop daily living skills. They can assist with a range of tasks, from cooking and cleaning to more challenging aspects such as applying for further education courses and job searches.

Communal kitchen, laundry, lounge and gardens allow for positive interaction between residents, allowing for the development of important social skills. By creating and cultivating tenancy management skills, such as budgeting, residents are supported to the point where they can successfully sustain their own tenancy.

Our Supported Housing Advisors also provide Outreach Support to residents once they move on, helping to ensure that ongoing health, well being and independence is maintained.

How to Apply

All applications for accommodation within our Young Person’s Service facilities must be done through Dumfries & Galloway Council Homeless Department. No direct referrals are accepted.
