Phillip Morrison-Gale

Phillip Morrison-gale
Hi, I’m Phillip Morrison-Gale. I am proud to be a housing professional. My career in housing began when I joined Clúid Housing in Dublin. After several years there, I moved back to the UK and firstly worked for Link Group managing the Private Sector Leasing scheme in Edinburgh, then Blackwood Homes where I was asset manager delivering planned and reactive maintenance programmes right across Scotland.

I gained a great deal of experience in those roles and I never thought my career would take me on my most recent adventure to Shetland as head of housing with Hjaltland Housing Association (pronounced Hyat-land- the Old Norse name for Shetland, in case you were wondering).

Although I loved working and living at 60° north, in March 2019 I swapped puffins, tiny horses, killer whales and a couple of glimpses of the northern lights for the forests, wildlife and (slightly) sunnier climes of Dumfries and Galloway to join the team at Loreburn as head of housing.

In my spare time I enjoy walking my dogs in the region’s beautiful countryside and am a board member at the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Scotland. In this role I work closely with the other board members and the management team at CIH, along with the Scottish membership to ensure members are provided with the right training, networking opportunities and information and knowledge to carry out their roles.

I feel privileged to work in a sector that prides itself on putting our customers at the heart of everything we do and I’m excited to be part of the future at Loreburn.

Feel free to get in touch if I can be of any assistance.
