My working life was in the public sector holding a number of senior positions in both the Health and the Civil Service. I am a qualified accountant but retired from full time employment in 2006 to concentrate on voluntary work.
Since retirement I have been involved at Board level with a number of organisations, with an emphasis on renewable energy, local regeneration and economic deprivation.
I joined the Management Committee of Loreburn in 2016, because I believe that providing high quality, affordable housing is key to the development of a sustainable community. Targeted investment can also help build the local economy. I am aware of the progress Loreburn has made over the past couple of years and believe in their longer term objectives. My hope is that my skills and experience can help the Association continue the good work it has undertaken over recent years.
