Pop Up Home From Home
Loreburn and the Wigtownshire Health and Social Care Locality are working in partnership to deliver an innovative and exciting new initiative. A Pop Up Home from Home has been developed at 38 Millburn Court, Stranraer.
The property shows how a standard home can be adapted to support independent living for people with dementia, sensory impairment and the elderly. The house is decorated and furnished with equipment, interactive technology and communication tools to enable people to live a safe and independent life
Loreburn Convenor, John McNaught said:- “Loreburn is delighted to be working with the Health & Social Care Locality, partner organisations and local businesses to co-produce this innovative pop up show home that show cases independent living resources’ that local people can obtain to help them live safely and independently for as long as possible in their own homes. We hope that as many people as possible take the opportunity to come along and visit.”
