Pop Up Home From Home
A Pop Up Home from Home has been created by Galloway Gateway and Loreburn Housing Association at 38 Millburn Court, Stranraer.
This show home aims to demonstrate the range of adaptations available to help people with dementia, sensory impairments and the elderly stay in their own homes and live safe and independent lives.
Working alongside Wigtownshire Health & Social Care Locality, the Pop Up Home is fully furnished, decorated and equipped with interactive technology and communication tools to support independent living and show how a standard home can be adapted.
Loreburn Convenor, John McNaught said:- “Loreburn is delighted to be working with the Health & Social Care Locality, partner organisations and local businesses to co-produce this innovative pop up show home that show cases independent living resources’ that local people can obtain to help them live safely and independently for as long as possible in their own homes. We hope that as many people as possible take the opportunity to come along and visit.”
The Pop up Home is open to professionals, careers, clients and the general public to view between Tuesday 31st January and Friday 31st March 2017.
