Non Executive Director - D&G Homes
Its exciting times at Dumfries and Galloway Homes, could you be instrumental in guiding us through them?
Our parent company, Loreburn Housing Association has recently gone through a full restructure and has huge ambitions, and a review of D&G Homes and how it contributes to the group is integral to those plans.
D&G Homes currently manages Market rental and Commercial properties as well as Student Accommodation and also operates a direct Labour organisation providing services to Loreburn; but has scope for so much more.
Our board is made up of members from the Loreburn committee and Independent directors, whose role is vital in ensuring a balance within the organisation.
The successful candidate must display knowledge, skills and/or experience to help the business develop and grow. Skills desired include but are not limited to -
1. Related business experience in service delivery.
2. Strong communication skills.
3. A working knowledge and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of being a Company Director.
All Board members will be on a volunteer basis however reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. Your commitment will be to attend quarterly meetings of the D&G Homes Board and any other ad hoc meetings or training outwith that schedule as required.

Bank Relief Supported and Sheltered Housing Advisors
You will assist and empower customers to live dignified, independent lives, across both the older and young people’s services. You will do this by delivering customer led services to people with a range of support needs, ensuring the service is appropriate to their specific requirements. You will be expected to build effective relationships with key stakeholders, support wider initiatives and drive service improvements. You will work collaboratively with a range of partners and external agencies to ensure customers are offered an exceptional customer experience.
You will be part of the pool of relief staff who will be offered shifts dependent on the needs of the service e.g. to cover staff holidays and sickness.
Successful applicants will hold a valid driving licence
